Tour, lecture and wool processing into yarn, at Vågå ull as spinning mill
There will be a tour of Vågå ull as spinning mill, machines will be shown and the entire process from raw wool to finished yarn will be demonstrated. We will actually produce a small batch of yarn this evening.
Together with Andrew Carpenter, technician for Belfast mini mills, you have a unique opportunity to gain a little insight into how yarn is made on machines. He has traveled the world for 15 years as a technician, teaching people how to use machines to make yarn, and how to operate machines. There are probably not many in the world with as broad experience and knowledge of fibers and machines as he does. So here is your chance to learn a lot.
