Leather Stitching Course with Trude Reiten

About the course

In this course, you will learn to sew seat pads or mittens from sheepskin. If time permits, we will also sew small items such as wrist warmers, elves, and decorative hearts. Participants who have their own leather can bring it, and those who don't can purchase it from Vågå Husflidslag.

The course lasts 10 hours over 3 sessions.

About the instructor

Trude Reiten lives in Nord-Østerdalen and is a full-time craftswoman. She sews traditional costumes (bunader), vadmal clothing, and leather items such as leather vests, seat pads, and rugs. She primarily focuses on printing, but also weaves tapestries for use on rugs.
